For this reason, this city has become a main tourist attraction especially for religious tourism. Karbala enjoys a landscape that combines desert with lush green areas, which helps create the idea of a village that addresses the tourist’s need of a nature-inspired location away from the city’s noise and pollution. The village also enjoys a desert climate adapted to modern needs. It has tourist accommodation with various interior fitting combined with leisure facilities such as four stars hotels with a variety of restaurants and fitness centers, camel riding area, an artificial lake providing an oasis serving the village as well as enhancing the landscape.
